The 4-star Novotel Szeged, the most elegant and freshly renovated hotel at the riverside of the town of Szeged welcomes its clients from the 10th of August 2000. The hotel was opened first under the name Hotel Hungaria in 1977. All the public places and 6 floors of the hotel had been completely renovated for the convenience of the future clients.
Novotel Szeged is situated in the most beautiful part of Szeged, directly on the bank of Tisza (2 hours drive from Budapest). There is a wonderful view to the city centre and the river from each room. The eight-floor hotel is just a 10 minutes walk from the city centre with an easy access to most of the shops, offices and banks.
Novotel Szeged has 136 rooms, each with balcony, offering a panoramic view - among them 6 suites, some rooms for non-smokers and for the handicapped - with own bathroom/WC, telephone, minibar, colour TV with satellite channels, PC modem plug and safe. The rooms have all the comfort those Novotel standard offers. Pets are welcome.
The public areas provide a wide range of banqueting and food and beverage services are available from morning and afternoon coffee breaks to lunches, dinners, cocktail- and theme parties.
The Côté Jardin Restaurant offers wide range of Hungarian and international specialities. In the Lobby bar the guests can listen to live piano music four times per week.
There are 5 meeting rooms of different size and up-to-date technical equipment. The individual capacity of the meeting rooms varies between 10 and 200 persons; all equipped according to the Novotel standards. The air-conditioned rooms can be separated by mobile walls.
